General Conference

Every spring and fall our church has what we call General Conference. It's where instead of going to church for 3 hrs on Sunday we get to watch from the comfort of our own homes, our church leaders speak to us, broadcast on local tv, if you're in Utah. But that's for 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday.

Some people opt out of watching on Saturday, thinking they'll just play catch up and watch it later or read the talks online instead. Our family WATCHES all 4 sessions live.

But then our house ends up like this:

Keilani basically sat and tried to read Mockingjay the whole time:

The girls set up a tent in our family room:

The boys made messes with any food they could find, like these marshmallows in a toy:

and here are the culprits:

So Happy Sabbath! Normally we try to make it up to the mountains to take pretty pictures of the foliage. Don't ask why we didn't this time, it sure would have made prettier pictures than these. But I wanted to record a snapshot of our real lives.
