A Tahoe Thanksgiving

First off we were supposed to stay at this house, but the craziest thing happened, a bear broke in to the house the very day we were supposed to arrive, yep, broke the door down and ransacked the house, A BEAR! Apparently it's a big problem over there in Lake Tahoe.

So we ended up finding this cabin in the same neighborhood, call it an UPGRADE. Ken's mother did all the arrangements, many thanks to her for hosting 18 people in one house for Thanksgiving!

They found this picture of George Washington and decided to bring it out for the Thanksgiving Prayer

Ken and I were in charge of the turkey, that means KEN got to get up at 7am and get this turkey cooking.

the other goodies

and more

This was just HALF of the table

Vivian has been waiting awhile now for pomegranates to come back in to season!

Hint #1 that the family that owned the home was actually LDS

The kids made a mini snowman on the balcony

One of the guest rooms

I just like this

Our king size bed

and jacuzzi tub, yes I used it!

Now I want a laundry room with a sink and counter, SO nice to work in!

I could also cook in this kitchen all day, 2 dishwashers, convection oven,  and all the appliances you would need!

The kids made a gingerbread house that Grandpa brought. the gingerbread was even from Germany.

And our favorite little cousin Daisy! She was the highlight of our trip!
