Another THEN and NOW post

You know, it's been YEARS since we went up to Squaw Peak in the fall. Ok, maybe just 3 years, but when you consider we had been going there for 10 years, we've missed that.

So, let's take a trip down Memory Lane:

Ken came here in the Fall of 94, whoa, 15 years ago!

by the way, this is a picture of him now, looks great, huh! lucky me!

Missed a year when we were married in 95, then living in SLC, but came back with Keilani in 96.

And again in 97:

We loved taking family up there when they came to visit:

This says 99, but i was wrong, it was October 2000 and I was about to have Vivian any day! or I thought I was, she was a week late!

Ah, here's sweet Vivian in 2001!

2002:

and 2003

Then came Kalel in 2004:

and 2005:
can you tell he loves it? NOT!

The kids with their aunt and uncle:

And that was it, no more pictures, we had moved to Lehi, and never made it back down to Provo Canyon in the fall.

So fast forward to 2009 and we have this little Bugaboo who is 3 years old:

We like to go Conference Weekend, so we went Saturday morning.

The leaves were beautiful on the way up:

Tasha, take a picture of us!

ME:

Ken, breathing the fresh air in:

Kalel, just because he's a cute little thing, getting his shoes on so he can get out of the car:

Boys, sit down so we can take a picture:

Have to one with me and Zane:

The girls are so cute with each other, if only they could be like this ALL the time!

See what I mean:

The best of about 10 shots, yeah, I know, at least 4 out of 5 are looking at the camera, right! I'll take it.

Hey, do you mind taking a picture of us? If I could retake that, I think I'd stand up on the ledge to get a little taller, lol!

Zane goes to Preschool!

Do you remember that last post when my kids went to school and Zane was left there, standing all alone, no one to play with, but Mommy!

His days used to look like this, hanging out with Mom on the computer:

Now, thanks to my brother in law, he got into the daycare Preschool at Timpview High School. It's 3 days a week, and yeah, we have to drag him out of bed in the mornings, but he is loving it, and gets to go with his little cousin as well! What could be better?

I'm glad my sister got a picture of their artwork the 1st day. You know the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, will there be enough room? We found it hilarious, that Zane's page on the left, the letters are pasted everywhere, while his cousins on the right, was trying to get EVERY single one of those letters on the tree, just like the book is implying

Walking to the classroom first day of school (Zane on the right)

Pretty happy, don't you think?

New backpack we went to Ross to get:

And they do fun things like send them home with lifesize drawings of themselves with sunglasses (which Zane proceeded to break about 3 minutes later, glad we got the picture!)

So, while it adds even MORE carpooling to my schedule, I'm so glad he gets the opportunity to go there, they paint EVERY day, and the teacher student ratio is insane. There's probably more adults to children, as this is for their Childhood Education classes they teach at Timpview, and I think the kids there do a great job. They send home little notes each day about what they did in class, what songs, book, games, activities. It's great for all of us involved.

Did he cry his first day? YES, but it's been smooth sailing since. Oh wait, except that potty training issue. I need to get him to go poop on the toilet. I keep telling him he CAN'T poop in his pullups there. Shhhhhhh......he's supposed to be potty trained. Any recommendations, he just doesn't WANT to. I tried to force it the first day of school, and that backlashed on me really well. He won't enter a bathroom now, lol.

Coupon shopping, is it worth it?

Today, my facebook status is, "Do you know what I'm tired of....COUPONS! They're such a pain to use, someone convince me again this is worth it"

So, this is an appropriate post to post today. I started this about a month ago. This was one of my LOVE coupon shopping days. I think I spent $20 and that was mostly that milk, chips and bread over there that added to the total. The salad dressing was all free, so was the salad, I paid less than a dollar each for those PB's and spaghetti sauces.

Insanely cheap pasta sauce:

Freebies:

PB was insanely cheap:

Salad, WAS FREE by purchasing the practicaly free Bertolli's, lol!

These were all free with my coupons:

These were all WAY cheap:

So, is it worth all the clipping of coupons that take hours of my time?
Well, when you consider the savings on days like this, I'd say I make a good amount of $$ clipping those coupons. OK, I'll keep doing it, lol!
