A few weeks ago the in-laws sent a package to us. I had no idea we were in for this treat, Yes, those are apple costumes:
Forgive the mess in the background, that was us going through the contents of the box...
And then they RAN outside in them and showed them to their friends. I had to laugh as a lady drove by in her car wondering what was up with that sight? ah, Just the Applegates....
Thanks Lola and Grandpa, hope all is going well with you!

Then came Easter....
The first change this Easter was that the Easter Bunny made a Jolly Rancher trail instead of the "Hersheys Kisses with Almonds trail" that "I" used to like, but can't eat anymore :) Jolly Ranchers = No Temptation for me. (Growing up he used jelly beans to make a trail from my bedroom to the baskets.)
The second change was he left a note that sent the kids on a treasure hunt instead of just leaving the "baskets" on the couch for them to find:
Here's a note from the treasure hunt. I happen to know that our particular Easter Bunny was 15 years old that planned this one all out.
Then instead of Easter "baskets", they all got scripture totes, or for the boys- church bags to bring their toys in.
And each got a $5.00 gift card, the boys to Target since they LOVE it and always want me to take them there to buy a treat:
The girls got GC's to Farr's Ice Cream Parlor and Keilani to Jamba Juice. Notice the pinkish couches against the orange walls I was talking about on Facebook that now require me to repaint sooner rather than later.
Taking the bubbles outside to play:
Tide dyed easter eggs, some of them anyways:
Playing with the chalk from their Easter bags:
And there's our silly life...notice the new header on my blog...Welcome to my...silly life. Who sings that song anyways? Pink?

Then I had a birthday...
35, guys, I'm 35. No more of that 18-34 category....(sad) But really I'm actually happy with this stage in my life. I've got ALOT more wisdom and experience, and I STILL feel young enough to enjoy life. Especially now that I am eating healthy and the physical barriers are disappearing...Here's to another 35 more at least!
Here's my HEALTHY birthday cake, a chocolate muffin made with our special flour and cool whip which is low carb...
Ken's gift to me, a new wedding ring I've been asking for...well, about a year! The real one was lost 7 years ago when I was pregnant with Kalel and took it off to wash the dishes. I've been wearing fake ones since (or my black pearl ring I got on my ONE trip to Tahiti after graduation)
Keilani got me an Itunes gift card so I got to download one of my new favorite artists album:
and a bunch of Hawaiian reggae music I've been listening to a lot:
My mom and sister gave me jewelry...they know I've been LIVING MY TRUTH by DRESSING MY TRUTH...through this website....I'm sure to talk more about that later...just ask if you have any questions, but part of my happiness now is finding my self and dressing my true self. I look good now not because of the weight I've lost but because I FEEL true to myself and take care of myself now. Look into it, you might find what you've been missing too in life.
